The Discover Scuba Diving course is a great introduction to diving if you are on a tight time schedule or want to try scuba diving for a day before committing to a full Open Water course. Discount is available for students who choose to continue on the Open Water course.

The Discover Scuba Diving course allows you to dive to a depth of 12 meters under the direct supervision of one of our diving instructors. Koh Tao has a wide range of marine life and coral reefs from the ocean surface downwards so there is plenty to see within this depth range.

We start the Discover Scuba Diving course at 10 am. The morning consists of some diving theory and a confined session in our pool. This gives you the opportunity to learn some basic dive skills and also get used to the scuba equipment. After completing the confined session we take you on the afternoon boat to dive.

Dive sites that we often visit in the afternoon include Mango Bay which is North of Sairee and Japanese Gardens or Twins which are located around the small island of Koh Nangyuan. The dive usually lasts for around 40 minutes which allows plenty of time to explore a dive site. Customers who enjoy the the first dive have the option of completing a second dive. But if one dive is enough they can enjoy relaxing on the boat or snorkeling during the scheduled second dive. We usually finish diving and return to shore between 4pm-5pm.

After completing the Discover Scuba Diving course, many people choose to continue on to the PADI Open Water course. One of your completed dives will count towards the Open Water course. We also offer customers 1,000 thb discount off the cost of the Open Water course.
